In view of the current coronavirus situation, I am happy to offer telephone or videoconferencing consultations as an alternative to face-to-face appointments
Welcome
I am a Consultant General Surgeon based in Buckinghamshire.
My specific interest is in gastrointestinal and laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery.
I qualified from University College and Middlesex Hospital School of Medicine in London in 1989 and did most of my training in and around London.
My specialist training has involved time at the Chelsea & Westminster, Royal Marsden and Hammersmith Hospitals.
I was appointed as a Consultant Surgeon at Buckinghamshire Hospitals NHS Trust in 2002 and have an extensive NHS clinical practice in both elective and emergency surgery based at Wycombe, Stoke Mandeville and Amersham Hospitals.
My clinical interest in obesity surgery began in 1995, whilst working at The Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London with the late Professor Chris Wastell.
I am on the Court of Examiners of The Royal College of Surgeons of England, the national Specialist Advisory Committee for General Surgery and was, until recently, Training Programme Director for General Surgery in the Thames Valley.
Reviews from patients on my service can be found here.
